Neighbors Connect works to ensure all residents are connected to at least two of their neighbors with phone numbers, for the multitude of benefits, from warning of a possible evacuation to ‘borrowing’ a cup of sugar. A Google Sheet, accessible by all residents in a neighborhood is set up showing which addresses each home is connected with. This facilitates interactions and also creates a method of contacting a resident on short notice, e.g., if there’s a problem with their home, pets, etc. Two Google Documents, accessible by all residents in the neighborhood, are set up to provide 1) information that residents provide about themselves, and, 2) information that’s useful to residents, e.g., emergency contacts, neighborhood map.
